Dry Liver curry

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chicken liver cut into small cubes
  • 1 medium sized grated onion
  • 1 medium tomato chopped
  • 2 black cardamoms
  • 2 tsp of crushed chilli flakes
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 4 black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp of crushed/puree garlic
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • Oil ¼ cup

 Garnish :

2 tbsp of coriander leaves,1 small green chilli finely chopped,grated ginger.

Method

Step 1

Heat the pan, fry the onions till golden brown and also add the cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns and salt. Then add tomatoes and fry. Add a splash water, garlic puree and liver, stir it well till the liver seals. Add salt, crushed chilli flakes and ¼ cup of water. Let it simmer for 10 minutes on low flame. The oil should separate from the liver. Garnish it with grated ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and lemon.
