Ingredients
- Ingredients for tartar sauce:-
- Pickled onions 1 tbsp
- Mayonnaise ½ cup
- Lemon juice 1 tsp
- Gherkins 1tsp
- White pepper a pinch
- Parsley 1tsp finely chopped
- Boiled egg whites only finely chopped
- Ingredients for fish fillet:-
- 2-3 fish fillets (cod haddock) Cut into thick squares around 3inches by 3 inches
- Distilled white Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Mustard ½ tsp
- Strong white flour 2 tbsp
- Eggs one
- Bread crumbs 1 cup
- Cheese slices
- Tartar sauce
- Salt to taste
- Butter 2-3 tbsp
- Vegetable or sunflower Oil for frying
- 3 Buns
Method
Step 1
Method for making Tartar sauce:- Mix them together and spread on burgers.
Step 2
Method for making fillet:- Marinate the fish fillets with salt, vinegar, mustard, white pepper and leave them for an hour or two. Take three bowls or plates. In first plate place flour, in the second is whisked egg and in the third is bread crumbs. Coat the fillet one by one first with flour, then with eggs and lastly with the bread crumbs. In a pan heat the oil and deep fry the fillets till golden brown, remove it from pan and drain excess oil.
Step 3
Assemble:- Slice the buns in half, spread butter on a side .Place fish fillet and tartar sauce and cheese slice on top. Cover the top with the other half bun. Serve with fries.
