Ingredients
- Ingredients for marinating:-
- Boneless fish fillets either cod or haddock (white fish)
- Salt 1 tsp
- Lemon 1 tsp
- Garlic 1 tbsp
- 1 tbsp of corn flour
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Ingredients for gravy:-
- Chicken stock 2 cups
- Sliced carrots 1 /2 cup
- Square shaped capsicum ½ cup
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Half onion finely chopped
- Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
- Chilli sauce 1 tsp
- Light soya sauce 1 tsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Corn flour 2 tbsp dissolved in water
Method
Step 1
Marination:- Marinate the fish fillets with garlic and salt and leave it for an hour or 2 .Wash the fish and remove water .Place it on a cloth or paper towel to remaove any excess water.Now put lemon juice and let leave it for 10- 15 minutes.In a plate place corn flour and coat the fish pieces with cornflour.In a pan take 2 tbsp of oil and fry the fish till it turns crispy on the outside and looks golden.Remove from heat and place it on a plate.
Step 2
Preparing gravy:- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry vegetables for a minute and then remove them .In the same pan add in ketchup, chilli sauce, soya sauce ,salt and pepper and chicken chicken stock .Cook till you see a boil. Now add fried fish nd vegetables and lemon juice.In the end add in cornflour mixture for the gravy to thicken.Serve with rice.
