Stuffed green chilli

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of aamchoor powder (mango powder)
  • ½ tsp of chaat masala
  • ¼ of grounded roasted cumin seeds
  • A pinch of baking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup chick pea flour/gram flour
  • 4 tbsp of water
  • 5 big green chillies
  • Oil to deep fry

Method

Step 1

Take amchoor powder (mango powder), chaat masala, cumin powder and few drops of water make it into a hard paste. Wash the green chillies dry them and make an incision /cut so as to deseed them. Stuff the paste into the chilli and close the mouth of the cut. Use only a minute quantity to fill the green chilli as it highly concentrated. When all the chillies are stuffed, make the batter from gram flour/chick pea, water, salt and baking powder.

Step 2

Heat oil for deep frying in a pot, dip the green chillies in the prepared batter and then fry them in a batch of three or two in oil till golden on all sides remove them by scooping the chillies out through a porous spoon. Place on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil and serve as starter or side line.
