Ingredients
- For making small bite size chicken
- ¼ kg small cubes of chicken around an inch long
- 2 tbsp of corn flour
- 1 tbsp of oil
- 1 and a ½ tsp of chinese salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- ½ tsp of salt or to taste
- For sauce
- Garlic 1 tsp finely chopped
- ½ tsp of ginger paste
- 2 finely chopped green chillies
- A cup of chicken stock
- ½ cup of ketchup
- 1 tsp of red chilli powder
- 2 tsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of corn flour
- 1 tsp of white vinegar
- ½ cup of oil
Optional
Round whole dried red chillies.
Method
Step 1
Marinate or coat the chicken with corn flour sugar, salt, chinese salt/ flavour enhancer and oil, leave it for 15 minutes and heat ¼ cup of oil simply fry them on medium flame till the colour comes to be golden, remove from the pan and put it on a paper towel for removing excess oil.
Step 2
For sauce:- Heat oil on a medium flame add finely chopped garlic, ginger paste, red chilli whole, green chillies, and stir till they give an aroma, then add chicken stock, chilli powder, ketchup, sugar salt and vinegar, cook for 5 minutes, add the chicken and let it cook for 5 minutes and then add in the dissolved corn flour in water mixture to thicken the sauce. Serve with fried rice or simple boiled rice.
