If the modelling paste is too sticky apply corn flour to the mould. If the modelling paste is manageable then apply petal base so that the modelling paste does not stick to the mould.

Take a small ball of either modelling paste or sugar paste and press it inside the mould to cover all the nook and corners. Remove excess of sugar paste by levelling the surface of the sugar paste. It should be at the same level as that of mould.
