Ingredients
- 1 kilo of milk
- Sugar as per required
- 1 cup of dried skimmed milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- ½ tsp of powdered green cardamom seeds
- 1 tsp of kewra water/essence
Method
Step 1
Mix 1 cup of milk in sugar with half a tsp of powdered green cardamom seeds and cook them on a low flame for 30 minutes. Mix together, dried skimmed milk, egg, baking powder and knead them to form a dough, it will be hard in consistency. Now divide them into small balls and make them into oval (elliptical) shapes. Put these balls in the milk and cover it with a lid, cook them on a low flame for 10-20 minute or until till they become double in size.
Step 2
Remove them from heat and add 1 tsp of essence/kewra. Let them cool down and put them in the fridge to chill. It is served cold. Garnish with dry fruit. Please be careful not to burn the milk, which is why low heat is required in this recipe.
