Chicken tikka

Ingredients

  • ½ kilo of chicken (boneless)
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 1 tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp of garlic finely grated or chopped
  • 1 tsp of powdered cumin seeds
  • Butter melted ¼ cup melted to brush on skewers
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp of yogurt

Method

Step 1

Cut the meat into bite sized cubes. Marinate the chicken with garlic, salt, turmeric, red chilli, cumin powder, lemon juice, yoghurt and leave it for ½ an hour. Now either preheat the griller (oven) or prepare the barbeque to use for cooking the chicken. Put the meat on skewers and brush the meat with butter. Let it cook for 10 minutes on each side or until cooked. Serve hot with naan bread and salad.
