Chicken Korma (Chicken curry)

Ingredients
- 1 kilo of chicken
- 1 large onion finely sliced and browned
- 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp of whole mixed spices powder (cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, coriander, cloves all freshly grounded)
- 1 tbsp of whole spices (these will be used without being crushed, these will include cinnamon, green cardamoms, black pepper, cloves.)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp of kewra water/essence
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup of yogurt
- ½ cup of oil/ghee
- 1 tsp of red chilli powder
Method
Step 1
Fry onions till golden in a pot, then add chicken and seal it, adding bay leaves, salt, red chilli powder, mixed spices, turmeric powder, coriander powder yogurt, stir till water dries out and the colour of gravy appear darker. Cook it on a medium flame with ¼ cup of water till meat is tender, then add kewra/essence water. Serve with naan or rice.
