Ingredients
- Fresh orange 1 cup
- Quantity of egg yolks 4
- Gelatine 3 tbsp dissolved in ¼ cup of luke warm water
- Sugar 1 cup
- Cornflour 2 tbsp
- Mixed fruit can 1 cup
- Swiss roll cake one log (cake with a layer of strawberry or raspberry jam)
- Double cream 2 cups
- Orange essence 2 tsp
Method
Step 1
Take a log of Swiss roll and slice it .Take a deep bowl cover the interior with cling film and then grease it with butter. Fill the interior of the bowl with the slices. Let it chill in fridge.
Step 2
Take a double boiler. Whisk the egg yolk and sugar add in orange essence, let the sugar dissolve. Remove from heat .
Step 3
Add two table spoon of corn flour and orange juice add it to the egg yolk mixture to thicken it on low heat for a few minutes.
Step 4
Dissolve gelatine in warm water.Mix the the yolk mixture with gelatine and with the whipped chilled fresh cream, add in the canned fruit as well. Pour the mixture in the bowl and place it to chill in the freezer. After an hour or more take the bowl and flip it upside down. Serve with fresh cream.
