Boti kebab (meat chunks BBQ/grilled)

Ingredients
- 1 kilo red meat boneless
- 1/2 cup of yogurt
- 1 tbsp of chilli powder
- 2 tbsp of chick pea flour
- 1 tsp of black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp of raw papaya
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp powdered white poppy seeds
- ½ cup of lemon juice (you can use less if you want)
Method
Step 1
Marinate meat with yogurt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, powdered poppy seeds, lemon juice, salt and raw papaya. Leave it to rest for 1 to 2 hours. In a pot heat oil and put the marinated meat, add the rest of marinade and stir to seal meat. Then add ¼ cup of water let the meat slowly cook and water dries off completely.
Step 2
To give a smoky effect. Heat a small piece of coal, until it is red hot put it over piece of bread or foil. Pour on 1 tbsp of oil for smoke to come out and place it in the pot containing meat, cover the pot three quarters with a lid for the aroma to incorporate into meat. OR Put the marinated meat on grill and barbeque till meat is cooked. Serve it with salad and chutney.
